Wix is a website in which you're able to present your work in a website format. One advantage of Wix is that there's a range of templates to choose from to make your site feel more individual and personal. A disadvantage of Wix is that it doesn't sync well with Google and is ranked lowly as a website and sites created with Wix are not advertised well.
Wordpress uses a more simple and traditional format to create their websites. Wordpress also has a lot of templates ready for use, however, due to it being more traditional you're less likely to have an individual looking website.

Final Photography - Evaluation
One photographer I researched into is the Wildlife and Nature photographer Daniel Walker. His work gave me the idea to work on something to do with the environment as it's something extremely overlooked and ignored.
Another photographer I looked into is Saeed Mohammadzadeh. His picture won him the environmental photographer of 2018 award and it gave me the idea to potentially work around something to do with water pollution.
With cameras I have learnt what aperture and shutter speed changes in an image and which f stop goes with which shutter speed.
My creative intention with my final project was to make people aware of the pollution and fly tipping occurring in the local area. Daniel Walker's photography gave me the idea to not just focus on fly tipping because that's a very small area of what's going on. Especially considering the numerous formats that pollution can occur in.
The only issue that I faced during this project was the weather. Due to my photos being taken outside the rain and cold didn't particularly help with allowing me to takeep my photos. Luckily there was a day in which it was sunny enough to photograph, although it did begin raining just before I finished up my project.

Work in the Media Industry
Job 1 - Dubbing Editor
I'm interested in this job as I like working with audio and it's a job which involves editing and recording different audio files.
The skill I already have is a basic knowledge of Adobe Audition, this allows me to edit audio to a certain extent.
In order to get this job, I would have to develop my skills in software such as Audition to be considered a candidate for the position.
Job 2 - Special Effects
I'm interested in special effects because it looks fun to work with and it pays well.
I don't currently have any skills in special effects, however, I am looking towards working with them later on in the course.
The skills I would need to develop would be on software such as Adobe After Effects which is has a plethora of effects available to test out.
Job 3 - Focus Puller
I'm interested in this job as I enjoy the filming aspect of media and would like to be involved in it as much as possible.
I'm already decent when it comes to working with cameras, however, I still need a lot of work.

Three Documentary Evaluation
One pro of expository documentaries is that you're able to freely ask questions that you want in order to provoke the answer you may be seeking. However, one con of this mode of documentary is that it was difficult to find people to interview.
A pro of observational documentaries is that it's very relaxed and the filmmaker doesn't have to give much input towards what goes on in front of the camera. A con of this style would be that because the filmmaker has little input and control over what's happening the footage may not be what you wanted the documentary to be and it may be difficult to work with in post.
One practical fault we came across was that the cameras weren't all on the same setting when filming the observational documentary and as a result, some of the footage looks different to the rest. However, we overcame this in post by using colour correction in premiere pro to change the colour grade of the footage.
The only ethical issue that arose for me was during my participatory documentary as I filmed my mum who is a teacher and there was a possibility that some sensitive information may be released.
Looking forward towards my final documentary, I want to work on the planning side of the filmmaking as it was quite poor for these tasks.
